Your participation

Civil society organisations, academic institutions, development agencies, funding agencies and others free from any ties to the alcohol industry are invited to contact the organisers to explore co-sponsorship opportunities for the conference. These entities may also organise their own side events – closed meetings or open to conference participants, on the day prior to the GAPC 2026.

The venue

GAPC 2026 abstract deadline extended

The abstract deadline for the Global Alcohol Policy Conference (GAPC) 2026 has been extended to 15 October 2025. The Scientific Committee appreciates that many are working hard to get their abstract ready in time and will appreciate an extension. GAPC 2026 welcome submission of abstracts for presentations relevant to the conference topics and themes. Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the conference website by 15 October 2025. Outcomes will be notified by 30 November 2025.

GAPC is the leading forum for the world’s alcohol policy makers, advocates, researchers, civil society activists and practitioners and we strongly encourage abstracts from all these sectors for presentations in the program. The Scientific Committee welcomes abstracts or outlines of presentation topics for:

  • Oral presentation
  • Poster presentation
  • Panel presentations
  • Workshops

Programme outline available

The program outline is now available.

The program will have plenary and concurrent session. The plenary program will include sessions on Commercial Determinants of Inequity; Regulating digital marketing of alcohol; Regulating availability; and a focus on alcohol policy success stories.

The conference take away will be on solutions rather than problems. See the program and keep watching for more details later.
